Grounding

Some people collect coins, stamps and even cars.  However, everyone collects energy.  It is almost natural to pick up energy and also to leave some of our energy wherever we have been. 

A couple of issues that arise from this are:
1) People do not know they are picking up this energy and
2) Most people do not know how to get rid of it! 
Also, most importantly, the energy we are picking up is not even ours!  This is called foreign energy.

So what happens when you have an accumulation of foreign energy in your space (body and energetic field)?  For me, it usually manifests as feeling “not myself” or a little “spacey” or I get irritated more easily.  Another way it can show up is when you are out shopping and you buy a bunch of items that when you get home you ask yourself, “Why did I buy this?”

When you realize that you have foreign energy in your space or perhaps A LOT of foreign energy, what do you do?  The easiest way to help yourself is to ground. 

Grounding allows you to release any energy you are ready to let go of.  It also connects you to the Earth and the Earth’s vibration.  By having this connection it stabilizes your body and brings you into the present moment.

Grounding makes it so easy to let go of the stuff you do not want or need!

Here is a simplified version of how to ground. 
1) First find a comfortable and somewhat quiet place to sit.
2) Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths.
3) Notice the base of your spine (your tailbone).
4) With your imagination, create a tail from the base of your spine.
5) Watch it extend and go through the floor and through the Earth until it reaches the Center of the Earth.
6) Once there, with your intention, attach the tail to the Center of the Earth.
Now, you are Grounded!

Try the exercise a couple of times and try different grounding cords (tails).  Some popular cords are trees, ropes, anchors, waterfalls, a beam of light and vines.
